As previously promised, today’s post focuses on short core routines you can easily tack onto the end of a cardio session or strength session. Just doing some crunches after your workout is not a sufficient core routine (as previously stated I’m not a fan of crunches). A good core routine will target not just your abs but all the muscles that attach to the spine and pelvis including your obliques, glutes, lower back and hip muscles.
Here is a routine that hits all of your core muscles and that you can do in approximately 10-12 minutes. There is a version for all fitness levels! Aim to do three rounds of each circuit with rest only if necessary.
