Strength Workout of the Week
|September 23, 2013||Posted by The Fit Scoop under Workouts|
Hope your weekend is going well! Here’s a different kind of strength workout to start off you week. For a change up, this week’s workout focuses more on high reps/lighter weights to build muscular endurance. I like to throw in a workout like this periodically when I’m feeling bored or like I’m plateauing. The change in focus is a big help mentally and physically.
Note: my pregnancy core exercises post is taking a bit longer to put together so apologies for the delay (photo issues) – hope to have it up within the week!
The name of the workout is One to Ten. You perform one rep of each exercise in the superset, then you do two reps of each, then three and so forth all the way to ten of each. Move from exercise to exercise within the supserset without stopping until you complete ten reps of each. There are just three supersets but don’t worry – your muscles will be burning and your heart will be pumping. Be sure to chose a weight that is on the lighter side since you will be doing lots of reps and don’t be afraid to take the modification – always keep good form. The workout is on the shorter side as well as an added bonus. Have fun trying something new!
