Week 39: Almost Time!

In short, at 39 weeks (and 5 days) baby girl is still in my belly.
I will officially hit 40 weeks on Wednesday, but I suspect we still have a little while before she arrives so I’m trying to be patient and to distract myself as much as possible. We did a lot of work around the house this weekend, and I cooked a lot too – probably more than I have all pregnancy. I washed and put away all the baby clothes (so tiny and cute!!), and we set up her bassinnette. We also went to the movies and saw Gravity. Great movie – though going to the movies at 39+ weeks pregnant is hard with the bathroom breaks 😛
Nothing new or exciting on the workout front – just keeping up the routine. I did three strength workouts and my usual pregnancy-friendly cardio: spinning, walking on an incline, and swimming. It feels like I’m in a holding pattern at this point, doing enough to stay fit but knowing each workout could be my last since labor could start any time. This week’s strength workout of the week is one I actually did to give an example of what you can still do at nearly 40 weeks pregnant. So keep your fingers crossed for me that this little girl shows up sooner rather than later – we are very anxious to meet her, and I’m very excited to start sleeping on my stomach again.
