Weekend and Training Recap

Things were productive this weekend in our household. We finally finished organizing our garage, a project that has only taken nearly two years to complete. We live in a townhouse with a one-car garage so space is a bit tight. We managed to get all of the bikes to hang from the wall which gives us a lot more room to store other things (like a baby stroller!). Three of the four bikes are mine (road bike, triathlon bike, and hybrid) which I’m afraid may be too many for the amount of time I will be able to spend riding once the baby comes – anyone want to buy a bike???
We also finished putting together our home gym room. This too has been a long process as we’ve been gradually accumulating equipment over five years. We now have a treadmill that is also an incline trainer (meaning it can go to an incline of 40% – which is super steep!), adjustable dumbbells, a weight bench, two different sized stability balls, a TRX, a trainer for riding your bike indoors, a pull-up bar, and resistance bands. We probably don’t need a gym membership anymore! Actually, we figured that with the baby coming, it would be a lot easier to get workouts in if we could do them at home. Also, my husband works late sometimes and doesn’t like working out in the morning (the opposite of me!), so this lets him still get in a workout without having to rush straight to the gym when he gets home before it closes.
Training is still going well at nearly 25 weeks. Yesterday was a day off, and today I did this strength workout and some cardio. One thing I haven’t been good about the past few weeks is going to prenatal yoga. I’d only done yoga a handful of times pre-pregnancy but heard good things about prenatal yoga classes, so I thought now would be a good time to get into it. I want to like yoga (I really do!), but I’m finding that I’m just not that into yoga. I’m not even sure I can say why I don’t like it, I just know that I peek at the clock every chance I get and silently groan when I see only two minutes have passed since I last checked. Maybe I need to try different classes or styles? Or maybe I need to give it more time to grow on me? I have four more classes left on the pass I purchased, and I have vowed to go every week for the next month. Wish me luck!
Do you like yoga? If so, did you like it right away or did it have to grow on you?
What is your favorite yoga class?
If you could only own one piece of workout equipment, what would it be?
